Analytical Modules & Detection Technology

Spyglass is a commercial partner and licensee to molecular detection technology invented at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratories (LLNL) in California. Scientists and engineers at the Monterey Bay Aquarium Research Institute (MBARI) have incorporated this technology into the ESP system for deployment on a land-based pier station and at depths from 50 to 900 meters below the surface of the ocean.

The Spyglass ESP System is capable of performing various molecular methods for detecting nucleic acid (DNA and RNA) or protein targets.
